Bridal Shower Food : Salami Puffs Sandwiche
Ingredients
- 1 package frozen puff pastry
- 16 slices salami
- 1/2 C. grated cheddar cheese
- 1 egg for glaze
Procedure
On a floured surface, roll out 1 sheet of the puff pastry to 1/8 inch. Use a
4 inch fluted cookie cutter and cut out 8 circles. Repeat with other sheet.
Lay a salami slice on each circle and top with cheese.
In a small bowl, beat egg with 1 t. water. Brush lightly the edges of the
circle. Fold each in half and press the edges together. Place on a cookie sheet
that is lined with parchment paper. You can do them ahead to this point, if you
desire. Refrigerate until ready to bake.
Preheat oven to 400°F. Brush the tops of the pastries with the egg glaze.
Bake for 15 minutes, or until golden brown. Serve right away.
